The 10 Uses and 50 Uses Cards allow using MostCare for ten or fifty separate treatments. Every use enables the monitoring of a patient for up to 72 hours (typical time of permanence of a patient in a recovery unit) and can be suspended or interrupted by the user. A new treatment starts with a different patient or with different patient’s monitoring conditions (e.g. different vascular access, or after introduction of a IABP). The MostCare functionality is enabled by insertion of the card at the beginning of the treatment, then the card can be removed and can be used on another MostCare. If the treatment time expires during the monitoring of a patient and a card is inserted containing residual credits, a new use credit is automatically employed in order to continue the monitoring without loss of patient’s data.

The 7 Days, 30 Days and 365 Days Cards enable the use of MostCare for a week, a month or a year respectively. The time count starts at the first treatment by inserting the card, then the card can be removed and all the functionalities continue, even for the new treatments, regardless of the number of monitored patients or the actual time of use. At the end of the predefined time, if the monitor is still working with a patient and a new card is inserted, the new time count automatically starts in order to continue the monitoring without loss of patient’s data. Otherwise the system carries on monitoring whilst turning to the Simple Mode, providing the systemic parameters only (pressure values and heart rate).

It allows the unlimited use of all system functionalities.The Endless Card is tied to the specific MostCare monitor.

The stored and transferred data include all patient information and haemodynamic values, and can be transferred to one or more PCs. It is then possible to review the patient’s conditions during the last hours or days, compared with other treatments, evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions and perform further processing through the export of the data to an Excel® datasheet.

All measured parameters are transferred beat-to-beat (up to 2880 beats at once) or averaged on 3 seconds (about 3 hours) or 30 seconds (up to 24 hours). The Card is rewritable and works on different MostCare and PCs, it can contain up to 2880 data series and the data is erased at every new transfer procedure, in order to avoid ambiguity in the identification of the patients.
